Hi, I'm Veronica, the founder of Pinchie Dumplings.

I've dreamt of opening my own restaurant or café since I was a child, and cooking has always been a big part of my life. After six years working in data and AI, constantly asking myself whether to chase that childhood dream, I entered MasterChef Canada Season 8, and won.

The support from my friends and family since then has been tremendous. After a mix of pop-ups, private dinners and dessert catering, I kept coming back to the part of food I love most: being right there with my guests. Cooking in front of them, hearing someone say "something smells so good," and seeing their faces when they take the first bite. A restaurant is still a dream for one day, but for now, I wanted to start smaller and find my footing in the industry first.

So why dumplings? It's one of those ideas so deeply rooted in your heart that it keeps coming back to you. They've been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I was raised by my grandparents, and my grandpa made dumplings for every special occasion. I don't think I ever ordered dumplings at a restaurant growing up. If you wanted dumplings, you asked Grandpa.

Making dumplings was never a one-person job. It was a family tradition. My grandma made the dough and I'd beg for a piece to play with (I wouldn't call myself much help back then). My grandpa sat by a big wooden chopping board making the filling, while my mom and aunties wrapped. Then we'd all gather around the table to share plates of freshly boiled dumplings.

That's why I started Pinchie: to share the part of dumplings we love most. Sitting around a table, folding together, and eating them hot.

Today, we bring dumpling experiences to offices, homes, weddings and parties across Toronto and the GTA, with everything you need to fold, cook and feast.
